Note to self, beware of Disney...

We were at the library the other day and I picked up the Disney classic Fantasia thinking Eli might like it since he loves classical music. I played it for him today and found the 3rd score distrubing. The narrator simply said that the next piece is about how the world and all the living things came to be, from a single cell organism. It's theory of evolution was stated so matter of factly that I wonder how many kids watch it and think that it's the absolute truth! I knew that Disney has become much more liberal in recent years, but this portion of Fantasia caught me off guard and will make me think twice before showing any other Disney stuff before previewing it first. Of course the best thing to do is to preview everything we show our kids regardless of the program's producer. Lesson learned.
