Today while I was cooking dinner, my son Eli comes running in from my bedroom and had the following conversation with me... (he was bored and was looking for something to do)
Eli: Mommy, there's no TV in my room, there's a TV in your room, but no TV in my room...
Me: (Chuckles) Yes, that's true. I don't think you'll ever have a TV in your room.
Eli: I think we should go out and buy a new TV for my room....
Me: (Chuckles even louder) That's very funny Eli... No, I don't think so... that will never happen.
That was the end of our conversation...it totally caught me off-guard. Imagine the influence of television on even an almost 3 year old who averages only 1/2 hour of TV a day watching mostly educational videos... It's a sad state...
