The last 30 days has been one trial after another, with happiness and sadness sandwiched in between. Last night I finally had a chance to sit quietly by myself and looked back at the last 30 days to see that once again I've faced adversity my way... going at it too fast and forgetting to slow down to ask God what he'd like me to do instead. It's sobering to acknowledge, but I'm also so thankful to God to stop me on my tracks and pull me back towards his way. When God stops me, then I know I'm beginning my way to recovery...
1/27 celebrated Kes' 2 year birthday...
1/29 took the kids to their first snow trip...
1/29 totalled our friend's car on the way up to our first snow trip...
1/30 found out our nephew was born 3 weeks early...
2/1 both kids had their annual check-ups...
2/6 celebrated both kids' birthdays with our family...
2/8 Calvin went to LA for a week to look after his mother who was sick...
2/13 celebrated Eli's 5th birthday...
2/15 Calvin's mom passed away unexpectantly...
2/16 whole family in LA to tend to funeral preparations...
2/20 Calvin and I went to Hawaii on our long planned trip...
2/26 Calvin headed down to LA again to complete funeral preparations..
2/28 Eli and I head down to LA for funeral on Monday 3/1 while Kes stays home..
