And off we go...

Something I learned last night during BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) about righteousness. Righteousness maybe defined as being a good moral person. I learned that God's righteousness and our righteousness are two completely different things, not two similar things at varying degrees. The analogy was that if we/man try to use our overall moral goodness to please God and go to heaven, it is like trying to pay our mortage bill with Monopoly money instead of US currency. It just doesn't work, no matter how much Monopoly money we have or how good we are compare to other people, we can't be good enough for God. Only the rightouesness that he gives out for free is good enough for us to please him. What truth for me as well as for those that I hope to spend time with this next two weeks.

On a light note, as we left the new Target near the SJ airport yesterday, an airplane descended on top of us on it's way to landing on the strip.... I pointed it out to Eli and he said "I see airplane, I see airplane". Maybe by this time tomrrow morning he'll learn to say "I'm on an airplane". Ok see you guys when we get back.
