As I was nursing Kes this afternoon, Eli came to me with two balloons, one yellow and one pink. He held them up one in each hand and we proceed to have the following conversation...
Eli: Mama, which balloon would you like me to blow up for you?
Me: The yellow one.
Eli: (pause) I don't like that color, which balloon would you like me to blow up for you?
Me: The yellow one.
Eli: (pause) No. (pulls back the hand holding the yellow balloon and extends the hand holding the pink balloon) Mama, what color is this?
Me: Pink
Eli: Good, I'll blow up this one for you...
