Meshing the past with the present...

Funny kind of story... Several days after Easter I noticed Eli humming/half singing a song that sounded like "Were You There", which is a sad song about the day of Jesus' cruxifiction. I was curious so I asked him if they had taught him that in Sunday School, seemed like too hard of a song for a 3 year old. Eli said no, Uncle Isaac was playing it. Then I remembered a few weeks ago we went to church to commerate Good Friday and his Uncle Isaac was practicing the song before the service and Eli had heard it for a few minutes then. So I decided to teach him to sing the whole first stanza which goes " were you there when they crucified my lord". Then this morning I hear him singing the song and it went like this.... " were you there when they PACIFIED my lord"... it was too funny, mixing up his sister's pacifier with Jesus' suffering on the cross. Well no harm done because Jesus is alive!
